Dear Upper Room Theatre Family,
Next year marks our 25th anniversary.
Hard to believe, right?
What started in a hot gymnasium with a shoestring budget has grown into something none of us could have imagined. Over 70,000 audience members. More than 3,000 teens impacted through our youth ministry programs.
And this past summer, our Shrek the Musical brought in 3,400 people in just 6 days. Every single show sold out.
You’ve been part of this journey and you’re part of something bigger than any one show.
Because here’s what most people don’t realize…
We don’t just perform ON stage. We perform IN service.
Every ticket sold funds mission trips, youth programs providing 293+ annual activities for over 800 teens and young adults, and service projects touching hundreds of lives.

We’re the theatre that performs twice. Once for YOU… and once for our COMMUNITY.
And the impact goes even deeper than that. Upper Room Theatre alumni have gone on to perform on some of the BIGGEST stages in the country like The Kennedy Center, Signature Theatre, Arena Stage, Ford’s Theatre, national tours, Off-Broadway, Disney World, cruise ships, prime time television, and even theatre and music classrooms where they’re shaping the next generation. These aren’t just fond memories… they’re PROOF what we’re building here changes lives for the long haul.

Our present day impact would not be possible without our special “Friends of Upper Room Theatre” program. When we launched it in 2020, we were struggling. The pandemic had hit. Our future was uncertain. But supporters like YOU stepped up. And you didn’t just help us survive… you helped us THRIVE.
Since 2020, our productions have reached new heights. Better quality. Deeper impact.
And our reach has grown tremendously. Between our musical and Winter Cabaret, we’re now serving nearly 4,000 audience members annually, not only from our All Saints community, but families from across the entire mid-Atlantic area.
And Here's What Makes This Even More Exciting...
We’re just getting started.
Next year, we’re celebrating our 25th anniversary season with Fiddler on the Roof. The same masterpiece musical we performed 20 years ago… but with a FRESH VISION and a few SPECIAL SURPRISES. It’s a story about tradition. About holding onto what matters while embracing change. And that’s exactly what Upper Room Theatre has done for nearly 25 years.
But to keep this momentum going… to celebrate 25 years AND build the next 25… we need your help.
This year, we’re raising $25,000 in honor of our upcoming 25th anniversary. These funds will support professional equipment upgrades (like our new sound console and professional backdrop) that make our shows look and FEEL like Broadway… plus vital continued support for the 800+ teens and young adults we serve annually.
