Freaky Friday, a new musical based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a hilarious, contemporary update on an American classic in which a mother and daughter really see what it’s like to be a family and experience each other’s lives first-hand, if only for a day.
With a pop-infused score and set in modern day, this beloved story has a new depth and energy that’s sure to captivate you. Through catchy tunes and unforgettable moments, Freaky Friday explores themes of empathy, understanding, and the unbreakable bonds of family.

Our Story
Founded in 2002, Upper Room Theatre is an award-winning, non-profit program that uses high caliber performing arts to inspire and uplift. We annually produce a large-scale summer musical and a Winter Cabaret variety show.
Upper Room is a theatre with an impact far beyond our walls. Not only do we strive to create moving, professional-level theatrical experiences for you and your loved ones, but all of our proceeds go to supporting our youth and young adult programs across the entire year.
